RE:	Freight Charge Change Order to Spencer Turbine PO # 013662

Background

Sole source purchase order 013662 for $13,000 was issued to Spencer Turbine in October 2015 for needed modifications to an existing blower installed at the Kansas River Wastewater Treatment Plant. When issued, staff expected to arrange for third-party shipping of the blower to Spencer Turbine in lieu of the $7,000 quoted freight charge from Spencer Turbine.

Project Description

Staff has not been able to identify a shipping option lower than the $7,000 quoted freight charge from Spencer Turbine.

Staff Recommendation

Staff requests a change order of $7,000 to purchase order 013662, thereby increasing the purchase order total amount from $13,000 to $20,000.

Funding

Funding for this purchase is from the Utilities Operations and Maintenance Budget.

Action

Approve change order for $7,000 to Spencer Turbine Purchase Order 013662, thereby increasing the purchase order total amount from $13,000 to $20,000.
