Authorization for purchase of One (1) Half ton truck replacement for Utility Billing

 

Background

The City Commission authorized funds for the replacement of Utility Billing Division equipment in the 2016 budget process.  Bids were sent as required by the city’s purchasing policy.  Unit 224, a 2005 F150, has met the city’s replacement criteria.  The equipment replacement schedule is based on age, mileage, hours of use, and cost of maintenance and upkeep.

 

Staff Recommendation

Central Maintenance Garage and Utility Billing staff recommend the purchase of one (1) half ton truck from Laird Noller Ford following the city’s one percent local preference policy.
