RE:	2016 Vehicle Purchase

The Police Department has requested bids for one (1) half ton 4x4 extended cab truck to replace Unit 5, 2004 Ford F150, currently assigned to the Investigations Division (Bid 1562).  The truck is being replaced due to age and functionality.

Two bids were received.  Both bidders meet specifications and the local preference ordinance applies.  Laird Noller’s bid is within one percent of the Shawnee Mission bid. 

Laird Noller Ford One (1) F150 4x4 pickup	$26,008.00
Shawnee Mission Ford One (1) F150 4x4 pickup	$25,901.00

Funding has been approved in the 2016 budget process.

Action Request

Award City Bid No. B1562: One (1) 2016 Ford F150 4x4 Pickup to Laird Noller Ford for $26,008.00.
