Background
The Planning Commission considered the following items at their June 23, 2014 and voted to forward them to the City Commission with a recommendation for denial.
A-14-00161 Annexation request for approximately 99.7 acres located south of N 1750 Road and east of K10.
A-14-00163 Annexation request for approximately 15 acres located north of Rock Chalk Park
CPA-14-00005 Comprehensive Plan Amendment to the Farmer’s Turnpike Plan
Z-14-00165 Rezoning request for approximately 13.3 acres southwest of N 1750 Road and E 902 Road from A (County Agricultural) District to IL (Limited Industrial) District.
Z-14-00164 Rezoning request for approximately 75.4 acres located southeast of N 1750 Road and E 902 Road from A (County Agricultural) District to RS7 (Single-Dwelling Residential) District.
Z-14-00162 Rezoning request for approximately 25.2 acres located southwest of N 1750 Road and E 902 Road from A (County Agricultural) to RS5 (Single-Dwelling Residential) District.
Z-14-00204 Rezoning request for approximately 0.8 acres located southeast of N 1750 Road and E 902 Road from A (County Agricultural) to RS7-FP (Single-Dwelling Residential with Floodplain Management Regulations Overlay) District
The applicant requested that the items be deferred to allow time for the applicant and property owner to consider options to address concerns raised by the Planning Commission. The applicant has revised the rezoning requests based on the Planning Commission’s comments and requests that they be returned to the Planning Commission for reconsideration before being forwarded to the City Commission. (Figure 1)
Action
Receive the applicant’s request and refer the items listed above to the Planning Commission for reconsideration of the items, as revised.
