RE:	2015 Audit Engagement Letter

Background

The City selected Mize Houser & Company through a competitive process in 2013 for independent auditing services for the Calendar years 2013 through 2017. Each year prior to Mize Houser beginning work on our audit, we sign an engagement letter. The engagement letter states the responsibilities of both the auditors and city management. By signing the engagement letter the City would be acknowledging our understanding of those responsibilities.

Staff Recommendation

Staff has reviewed the proposed 2015 engagement letter and agrees with and acknowledges our responsibility in the audit. Staff recommends authorizing the Mayor to sign a 2015 Engagement Letter with Mize Houser & Company.

Authorize the Mayor to sign a 2015 Engagement Letter with Mize Houser & Company.
