RE:	2016 State Legislative Priority Statement

Background

The City Commission annually approves a Legislative Priority Statement to share with our State legislative delegation.  Attached please find the City’s 2015 Legislative Priority Statement as well as the League of Kansas Municipalities 2016 Statement of Municipal Policy.  The Commission should determine which issues it wants to highlight in this document.  From time to time, the City Commission also may direct staff to write letters to legislators in support or in opposition to pending state legislation.
