Acting Chair Laura Blanchard called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m.
Review and approve minutes from June 11, 2015 meeting.
After review, Gaston made a motion to approve minutes from the June 11, 2015 meeting. Seconded by Blanchard Pass 3-0.
Discuss changes to 2015 IMC and review existing amendments
During review and discussion, Blanchard suggested adding saunas to the list of prohibited locations for fuel-fired appliances, the board agreed.
There was a brief discussion about the location of solid fuel burning appliances in confined spaces, staff would learn the intent of the code and return with a clarification.
Blanchard asked to add sidewalks to the prohibited locations for condensate disposal.
The referenced standard for ASHRAE 62 will be updated to the most current version.
Other grammatical changes were suggested to make some language more clear.
Miscellaneous
Epperson asked about allowing certain types of continuing education that may not be generally accepted for licensing. Staff referred him to the contractor licensing board.
Motion to adjourn made by Epperson. Seconded by Gaston; passed 3-0. Meeting adjourned at 4:55 p.m.
