RE:	Bid recommendation – 2015 Master Street Tree Project

On October 6, 2015, Parks and Recreation Department opened bids for the 2015 Master Street Tree Program. This project bid the purchase and installation of 156 street trees.

Bids

American Lawn and Landscape       $48,335

Preferred Lawn Services                $55,536

Staff Recommendation

Accept the low bid provided by American Lawn and Landscape for $48,335 to provide and install 156 trees at an average cost of $309.83 per tree. The work would start immediately upon getting the trees dug this fall.

Funding

Funding for this project comes from the fees collected from developers during the building permit process.

Action

Award the purchase and installation of 156 street trees to American Lawn and Landscape at a total price of $48,335, for completion of the 2015 Master Street Tree Project.
