RE:	2016 - 2017 Water and Wastewater Rate Ordinance No. 9122

Background

Staff provided the City Commission with a memorandum containing proposed 2016 and 2017 water and wastewater rates and comparative rate information from area utilities for consideration during the June 16, 2015 City Commission Study Session. The proposed two-year rate schedule for years 2016 and 2017 was developed within the previously provided framework of “total additional costs” over the current five-year Capital Improvement Plan.

Consistent with previously provided information, staff has drafted proposed Ordinance No. 9122 for Commission consideration and approval.

Action

Consider adopting on first reading, Ordinance No. 9122, establishing a two-year schedule for 2016 and 2017 water and wastewater service rates, effective November 15, 2015 and November 15, 2016, respectively.
