RE:	Supplemental Agreement No. 2 – Iowa Street Reconstruction, Irving Hill to Harvard, Project No. PW1012

Background

Project No. PW1012 was the reconstruction of Iowa Street from the Irving Hill Overpass to south of Harvard Road.  The construction project was completed in 2013.  The project cost was $4,737,739.00.

The City received funding from the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) from two (2) sources, Surface Transportation Program (STP) in the amount of $3,000,000, and Highway Safety Improvement Program (HISP) in the amount of $1.2 million.

As KDOT is doing their final accounting of the project, Supplemental Agreement No. 2 was not finalized and executed. The purpose of Supplemental Agreement No. 2 is to change the source of funding from the STP (federal funds) to State funding for the project.  

Action

Authorize the Mayor to sign Supplemental Agreement No. 2 with KDOT for Project No. PW1012.
