RE:	Street Division Storm Water crew truck chassis

Please place the following item on the consent agenda for the City Commission to consider at its March 11, 2014 meeting:

Background:

Public Works requested bids to replace the Storm Water crew truck chassis. The truck is being replaced do to high maintenance costs and it is at the end of service life.

This unit is a cab and chassis only. To reduce total cost of the truck the bed will be purchased on a separate memo.

Recommendations:

Central Maintenance Garage staff recommends the low bid from Shawnee Mission Ford.

Funding:

Funding for these purchases was approved in the 2014 budget process.
