Please place the following item on the agenda for consideration of the City Commission at their next meeting:

Award bid for the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Project at 1926 Vermont Street to T & J Holdings, Inc., for $21,670.

Background

On March 4, 2014 the City of Lawrence opened proposals for Bid #B1410 for a comprehensive rehabilitation project at 1926 Vermont.

The project includes replacing the concrete driveway and patio, repairing stucco, installing new gable end siding with painting of all wood, attic air sealing, radon mitigation, in slab duct plugging and drywall repair, GFCI’s and ceiling fan boxes, grab bars and faucet/drain replacement, abandoned vent removal and roof repair. Lead base paint stabilization with clearance testing is also included.

The Staff estimate for the project was $20,828.55. The following bids were received:

Clovis Construction, Inc.	$26,514.00
T & J Holdings, Inc.	$21,670.00

Recommendation Action

Staff recommends the City Commission award the bid for the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Project located at 1926 Vermont St. to T & J Holdings, Inc. for $21,670.
