Rock Chalk Park Development Agreement Update

Staff and special counsel, Gary Anderson of Gilmore & Bell, are following up on the requested changes and clarifications to the Development Agreement as directed by the governing body at its meeting on July 2, 2013.  The items include: (1) Section 9.03, requiring monthly budget updates on the costs of the infrastructure improvements; (2) Section 11.02, requiring copies of all invoices for infrastructure improvements to be submitted for review on a monthly basis; and (3) clarification of the basis for the estimated construction management fee.  One or more parties to the agreement are unavailable for discussions until July 8, 2013.  Consequently, the earliest the Development Agreement could return to a City Commission agenda is July 16, 2013. 

Public Works Facility Division Mid-Year Report

The attached mid-year report for the Public Works Facility Division highlights some of the projects the division has completed and is looking forward to completing this year.

Stormwater Improvements on 2800 Block of Ridge Court

The Stormwater Engineering Division recently finished improvements to the existing storm sewer system in the 2800 block of Ridge Court (see attached memo). The completion of this project enables the current storm sewer system to adequately convey the 10-year design storm event. It also helps to alleviate potential stormwater concerns with future redevelopment activities for the northeast corner of 27th and Iowa.
