ORDINANCE NO. 8876

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS ALLOWING THE POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR ON CERTAIN SPECIFIED PUBLIC PROPERTY

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.  Pursuant to City of Lawrence Code Section 4-105(E), the prohibition of the possession and consumption of alcoholic liquor on public property shall not apply to 7^th Street from Kentucky Street to Tennessee Street from 9:00 a.m. - midnight on 07/04/13, associated with the Lawrence Originals 4^th of July event, provided the sale, possession and consumption are pursuant to City of Lawrence and State of Kansas law.

SECTION 2.  This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
