RE:	Hybrid sedan for Waste Reduction and Recycling

Please place the following item on the consent agenda for the City Commission to consider at their May 14, 2013 meeting:

Background:

Waste Reduction and Recycling has requested bids for a hybrid sedan staff car. This unit will replace a full size pickup. A full size pickup will be transferred to Solid Waste division to replace a crew truck that was removed from service because repair costs exceeded the value of the truck. The hybrid staff car will used to transport staff and supplies and will reduce fuel consumption for the division.

Recommendations

Central Maintenance Garage staff recommends the low bid Toyota Prius in the following bid tab.

Action Request
