ORDINANCE NO. 8850

 

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS PROVIDING FOR THE DEDICATION OF PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF TRACT A OF THE AMENDED PLAT OF QUAIL RUN NO. 2, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, DOUGLAS COUNTY, KANSAS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

WHEREAS, The City of Lawrence, Kansas (City), is the Owner of Record of the following described real estate situated in Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas to-wit:

 

A strip of land ten (10) feet wide situated in Tract A of the amended plat of Quail Run No. 2, an Addition to the City of Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas, said strip located north of, parallel with and adjacent to the north boundary line of Bob Billings Parkway right-of-way and more particularly described as the south 10 feet of said Tract A,

 

WHEREAS, City intends, and by this ordinance does, hereby order the dedication of the above described real estate as public right-of-way, to be used for such purposes as provided by the laws of the State of Kansas and City;

 

WHEREAS, upon the adoption of this ordinance and its publication according to law, City shall cause to be made, executed, acknowledged and filed with the Office of the Register of Deeds the dedication of the above-described real estate as Public Right-of-Way.

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS.

 

SECTION I.  That following the passage and publication of this ordinance City shall cause to be made, executed, acknowledged and filed with the Office of the Register of Deeds, Douglas County, Kansas, the dedication of the above-described real estate as Public Right-of-Way.

 

SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon its passage and publication in the official City newspaper.
