Temporary Library Electrical Work

ACTION:      Authorize payment in the amount of $19,350 to Superior Electric Co., Inc. for electrical work at the temporary location of the Lawrence Public Library, 700 New Hampshire Street.

 

The Lawrence Public Library has completed its move to its temporary location at 700 New Hampshire Street, where it will operate during construction/renovation at the 707 Vermont Street location. Modular office buildings were placed in the parking lot of 700 New Hampshire to house the administrative offices of the library. B.A. Green Construction, the city’s construction manager for the library project, obtained quotes from three vendors for electrical work to provide power for the library modular offices. Superior Electric Co., Inc. provided the lowest quote and completed the work under B.A. Green’s direction. Staff requests City Commission authorization of payment to Superior Electric in the amount of $19,350 for this work. This will be paid from the bonded library project account.
