Safe Winter Walkways Program

PROPERTY OWNER’S CONSENT AND RELEASE

I/We, the undersigned, being the property owner(s) of ________________________________________________ (property address), hereby give express consent for Safe Winter Walkways Program volunteers to enter upon the above-described property (hereinafter “the property”) for the purpose of assisting with the removal of snow from the public sidewalks adjacent to the property.

In consideration of receiving the assistance, I/we, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, hereby release, acquit, and forever discharge the volunteer(s), the City of Lawrence, and the Douglas County Senior Services, Inc., and their respective officers and employees from any and all causes, actions, demands, rights, damages, costs, loss of service, expenses, compensation, court costs, and reasonable attorneys fees whatsoever, including those which in any way grow out of any and all known and unknown, foreseen and unforeseen, damages or injuries and the consequences thereof, resulting in or in any way, directly or indirectly connected to the snow removal assistance by Safe Winter Walkways Program volunteers.

I/we hereby expressly agree to indemnify and hold harmless Safe Winter Walkways Program volunteers, the City of Lawrence, and the Douglas County Senior Services, Inc.,  and their respective officers and employees from any and all actions, causes of action, claims or any liabilities, including costs or expenses, attorneys’ fees and other expenses of litigation incurred by or on behalf of the Safe Winter Walkways Program, the City of Lawrence and the Douglas County Senior Services, Inc., or any of their officers, employees or volunteers.
