A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS           

AMENDING RESOLUTION 6919 CONCERNING THE EXPENDITURE OF

ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND CONSERVATION BLOCK GRANT FUNDS

RESOLUTION NO. 6955

WHEREAS, on February 22, 2011, the Governing Body approved Resolution 6919, which committed remaining Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) funds; and 

WHEREAS, Resolution 6919 allocated $150,000 of EECBG funding for lighting upgrades to the Public Library and $172,180 for downtown streetlight installation; and

WHEREAS, the City now wishes to amend the allocations relating to library lighting by transferring those funds to the downtown streetlight project; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the City of Lawrence, Kansas that $153,705 of EECBG funding previously identified for lighting upgrades to the Public Library be reallocated to downtown streetlight installation.
