Please include the following item on the City Commission agenda for consideration at the October 11, 2011 meeting:

Slate Roof Replacement for the City Hall Building

This project is part of Resolution 6937, debt funding for improvements to certain public facilities. This is for the replacement of the slate roof on the north side of City Hall.

Project History.  The slate roof is original to the Building. City Hall opened in 1980. The roof has been repaired over the years, but ice and snow has damaged the roof beyond repairs. The slate is broke and missing. We have water leaks with any type of moisture.

Project Scope.  This project is for the replacement of the slate roof on the City Hall building, located at 6^th East 6^th Street. This roof is on the north side of City Hall. Historic review will be approved before construction.

Project Funding.  The roof replacement for City Hall is part of the $180,000, funded through Resolution 6937, that was before the City Commission on August 16, 2011.

Action Request.  Authorize the city manager to set a bid date of October 18^th, 2011.
