On  September 27^th, 2011, the City of Lawrence opened proposals for the following:

Bid B1142 is for future Network Cabling services that are primarily related to moves, adds, and changes related to copper and fiber network cabling.  R&R has been a long-time proven vendor for the City of Lawrence and has done outstanding work and proven to be very reliable and professional.  R&R has won many previous bids for network and fiber cabling and has installed the majority of the City’s network cabling infrastructure and can efficiently complete networking projects with little or no intervention from City staff.  R&R is very familiar with the City’s buildings, cable routes, City cabling standard requirements and expectations.

Recommendation Action:

Approve bid from R&R Communications for future Network Cabling at the hourly rates submitted in the bid, not to exceed $25,000 per year.  Requesting departmental funds will be billed as the work is requested.
