RE:	Bras Across the Kaw

Please place the following request on the October 11, 2011 City Commission meeting agenda.

Health Care Access has requested permission to post two signs in City right-of-way near the entrances to the Kansas River bridges, as well as hang bras along the railings adjacent to the walkways across the bridges, promoting breast cancer awareness through “Bras Across the Kaw,” from October 14-21, 2011. Health Care Access has been coordinating the project with KDOT, as the sidewalks have been intermittently closed during certain construction operations on the bridge.

ACTION:       Approve as “signs of community interest”, a request from Health Care Access to place two signs promoting the “Bras Across the Kaw” breast cancer awareness event near the entrances to the Kansas River bridges from October 14-21, 2011, if appropriate.
