RE: |
City/State Agreement |
|
Iowa Street Reconstruction, Harvard Road to Irving Hill–Supplemental Agreement No. 1 |
Introduction
Road projects on City Connecting Links (part of the state highway system within the city limit) are routinely undertaken through joint venture between the City and KDOT. City/State agreements are legal instruments in which the rights and responsibilities of both parties are outlined and defined with specificity and details. By signing these agreements, both City and KDOT affirms their intention to proceed with the project and assumes their respective responsibilities. During the course of a project, Supplemental Agreements are often executed to address changing circumstances.
Project Details
Currently in Design Phase, with anticipated construction in 2012/2013, reconstruction of Iowa Street is jointly funded by the City and KDOT. Since the signing of the original agreement, the City received $1.2 million from KDOT in Federal Highway Safety funds. The purpose of the attached Supplemental Agreement No. 1 is to add the Highway Safety Funds to the project.
