Please include the following item on the City Commission agenda for consideration at the September 27, 2011 meeting:
On September 27, 2011 the City Commission will open a public hearing to consider a request by owner David Davison, 1829 Riverridge Road, Lawrence, KS 66044, for the vacation of an access easement. The easement, located between 1706 and 1804 Golden Rain Drive, was created because Golden Rain Drive was a dead-end street when the property was platted, and a hammerhead turn-around was required for emergency access. Golden Rain Drive is now a through street and the turnaround is no longer necessary.
All utilities, as well as city staff, have reviewed this request and have no objections. All property owners within 200 feet have also been notified and no objections have been received.
Action Requested: Hold public hearing and, pending discussion, approve order of vacation.
