RE:                  Agenda Item – Request for approval Bid Number B1139 2011 Electrical Preventive Maintenance

ELECTRICAL PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE – UTILITIES DEPARTMENT – #B1139

Utilities Department  requested to bid fifty five (55) electrical management devices (out of 155) for preventive maintenance.  Bids were opened on September 6, 2011 and evaluated by City staff.  The electrical management devices control power delivery to the equipment within the Utility Department.  The controls are transformers, frequency drives and switch gear associated with the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Clinton and Kaw Water Treatment Plants, and various lift stations.  This preventive maintenance program helps to ensure the reliability of the electrical components tested and the items they provide power to.

This purchase was budgeted in the 20110 budgeting process.
