RE:	Sons of Union War Veterans Markers

In late 2009, the city received a request from the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War to move two ground historic markers, noting a site relating to Quantrill's raid, near the New Hampshire Street parking garage to a more prominent location for viewing. The Parks and Recreation Department assisted with the effort to place bronze markers on the parking garage wall at 927 New Hampshire.  The intent of the markers is to better inform the public about the events that happened at this location during the Civil War.
