Please include the following item on the City Commission agenda for consideration at the June 14, 2011 meeting:
Approval of the request by Albert Jost, the property owner of record, for a variance from 19-214(B) of the City Code which states that a private sanitary sewer service line shall not be located in a City public right of way for greater than 15 feet for 749 Maple Street.
BG Consultants has recently submitted a revision to site plan SP-08-73-08 on behalf of Albert Jost, property owner of record, for the property located at 749 Maple Street. The submitted revision was accompanied by a request for a variance from City Code 19-214(B).
As shown on the attached map, 749 Maple Street is currently a vacant, undeveloped lot, which has access to public sanitary sewer. The site plan indicates that two buildings and associated parking, driveway and drainage improvements will be constructed to utilize the property for construction sales and service. While the property has direct access to existing public sanitary sewer facilities along the frontage of Maple Street, the proposed sanitary sewer service line will extend more than 15 feet within dedicated right-of-way and this variance request will bring the property at 749 Maple Street into compliance with current City Code.
Action Request:
Approval of the requested variance from 19-214(B) of the City Code for 749 Maple Street.
