Lawrence, Kansas

WHEREAS:   Dads of Douglas County, and many other organizations that provide services to families are celebrating Dad’s Days, June 13 - 17 in Lawrence, Kansas; and

WHEREAS:   These organizations and many others are working to promote and support fatherhood by raising awareness of the value of fathering; and

WHEREAS:   All dads across the country deserve recognition for the role they play in the health and happiness of their children; and

WHEREAS:   In recognizing and supporting the people, programs, and policies that are committed to high quality services to dads as the right choice for families;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Aron E. Cromwell, Mayor of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, do hereby proclaim June 13 - 17 2011 as

“Dad’s Days”

in the City of Lawrence.
