Arts Center Street P’Arty and Hot Rod Hullaballoo

 

 

A few questions were raised during yesterday’s agenda review meeting with the mayor and vice mayor regarding the events on the May 3, 2011, City Commission Meeting agenda. Answers to those questions follow.

 

Arts Center Street P’Arty

·         Q: To where would the bus stop on the 900 block of New Hampshire move?

o   A: Final details have not been worked out yet, but generally to the other corners of 9th and New Hampshire.

 

Hot Rod Hullaballoo

·         Q: To where would Massachusetts Street traffic be detoured?

o   A: To Kentucky and Tennessee at 11th and 13th.

·         Q: What is the expected attendance?

o   A: 500-600 people throughout the day.

·         Q: Which side of the park do they have reserved, or both?

o   A: East (gazebo) side. Cars would be parked on both side of Massachusetts.

·         Q: Is anything else scheduled on the other side of the park?

o   A: Not at this time.

·         Q: How many cars are expected to be displayed?

o   A: Organizers hope for approximately 150.

·         Q: Could the cars be parked on the grass?

o   A: They could be, but the Parks and Recreation Department would prefer not.

·         Q: Is Watson Park available on that day?

o   A: Yes.

·         Q: Is Broken Arrow Park available that day?

o   A: Yes.
