RE:	1000 block of Vermont Parking

An additional meeting on possible changes to parking in and around the 1000 block of Vermont was held on Tuesday, May 5 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.  Vice-Mayor Schumm was in attendance, along with myself, and Parking Control Manager Teri Pierce.  Attendance was significantly better at this meeting over the earlier public meeting on March 30 (approximately 20 individuals, primarily property/business owners impacted by possible changes).  As a result of mailing and handing out notices of the meeting, we received some additional correspondence as well.  There was general consensus support for the proposal from Vice-Mayor Schumm which is outlined in his attached memo.
