RE:	2011 Rev it Up! Hot Rod Hullaballoo

Stephen and Michelle Chronister have requested permission to close Massachusetts Street from North Park Street to South Park Street on Saturday, October 8, 2011, for the Rev it Up Hot Rod Hullaballoo event. Please see attached letter from the event organizers. The event would take place in the eastern half of South Park and would be a hot rod and custom car show featuring vendors and live music in the park and hot rods parked on the closed section of Massachusetts Street. The event would be a fundraiser for local charities.

The event would close Massachusetts Street adjacent to the park from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011.

ACTION:       Approve a temporary use of right-of-way permit for the closure of Massachusetts Street from North Park Street to South Park Street from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011 for the Rev it Up! Hot Rod Hullaballoo, if appropriate.
