On March 29, 2011 the City of Lawrence opened bids for the following: |

Bid#1117 – One (1) Grapple Load Refuse Truck– Public Works Department |
Solid Waste equipment is replaced according to our equipment replacement schedule. The equipment replacement schedule is based on age, mileage, hours of use, and cost of maintenance and upkeep. This unit has been upgraded to an automated truck to increase productivity and lower the risk of operator injury. The bid prices include trade in of unit 491 a 2000 model Ford bulk truck. The trade in of $15,000.00 is above current auction prices and the Fleet manager feels like this is a good trade in price. This purchase was approved in the 2011 budgeting process.
