ONE (1) ˝ TON PICKUP – FINANCE DEPARTMENT – B1109
The Finance Department requested bids for a ˝ ton pickup to be used by their field service staff. The pickup is primarily used for turning water meters on and off, replacing meters when necessary, and collections. It carries approximately 1200 lbs. of tools and meters. It is replacing unit 229 due to age, high mileage, and maintenance costs.
Laird Noller Automotive’s bid is within 1% of Shawnee Mission Ford’s bid, therefore the local preference policy applies. This purchase was approved in the 2011 budgeting process.
