CITY STAFF PRESENT FOR BID OPENING on February 15, 2011: Alan Landis, Diane Trybom & Jessica Roberts.
SCOPE OF WORK:
407 Maine St.: The exterior work on the house includes a lot of concrete removal and wood porch repairs. The garage work includes making minor electrical receptacle repairs. The interior work on the house includes window repairs throughout the house, drywall repairs, trim work repairs and prep and painting of rooms. Minor electrical work includes installing light fixtures, receptacle repairs, check fan boxes and install a code compliant junction box. The plumbing work includes reconfiguring the drain waste vent and removing a whole house trap. Mechanical work includes removing all the asbestos wrapped ductwork and installing new ductwork and installing a chimney liner. The specs also include some major foundation repair in the basement. House was built in 1920, so Lead Safe Work Practices are required.

1046 Pennsylvania St.: The exterior work on the house includes fascia repair, prep and paint all exterior wood and gutter and downspout replacement. There is repair work to be done on the exterior fence. Replace the garage door, replace the gutter and downspout and prep and paint the garage. The interior work on the house includes reseal all the wood floors, plaster and drywall repairs in the majority of the rooms and window repairs throughout the house. The electrical work includes minor repair on receptacles throughout the house, checking fan boxes and adding new switches and receptacles to the bedrooms. Major wall repairs to be made to the bathroom, to include repairs to the plumbing pipes and toilet replacement. Kitchen work includes cabinet replacement, countertop replacement, sink replacement, door repairs and relocating a gas line. Plumbing work includes repairs made to the water supply and creating a drip less center-washer hookup in the basement. Mechanical work includes repairs to the duct boots, chimney liner installation and dryer vent installation. Specs include an alternate for additional cabinet replacement in the kitchen. House was built in 1910, so Lead Safe Work Practices are required.
