HVAC SERVICE – PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT – #B1102

Please see attached bid tab.

Parks and Recreation requested bids for unit pricing of HVAC repair and maintenance work.  This bid is for small jobs and small repairs costing less than $15,000 for the 2011 calendar year and was written so other City departments can utilize the pricing. 

Parks and Recreation talked to the 3 vendors that provided the most cost effective bids to make sure they had the experience level required to service the bigger units at their facilities.  They feel that McElroy’s has the level of experience that is needed and they provided the best bid when considering the hourly rate for technicians and % markup on materials.

Parks and Recreation estimated there could be up to $40,000 spent on these jobs.  These projects will come out of sales tax reserve and the alcohol tax.

Recommendation Action: 

Award bid for unit price of HVAC work for the Parks and Recreation Department to McElroy’s. not to exceed $40,000.00 (sales tax reserve and the alcohol tax)
