Background

On December 6, 2010, the Traffic Safety Commission heard a request to establish NO PARKING along the north side of 27^th Street, west of Kensington Road.  There is a slight hill to the west and the combination of the hill and parked vehicles restricts the view of traffic.

Traffic Safety Commission Action

At the Traffic Safety Commission meeting, one appeared to speak in support of the request; no one spoke in opposition to the request.  Several commissioners felt that the parking should be restricted, but that it may move the problem to another location.  A motion to recommend establishing NO PARKING along the north side of 27^th Street between Kensington Road and Mayfair Drive was approved 7-1.

Action Request

It is recommended that the City Commission concur with the recommendation of the Traffic Safety Commission, if appropriate.
