RE:

Extension of approval for SP-05-34-07; 808 E. 28th Street; Bohmann Excavating and Mini-Warehouse

Please place the following item on the November 23, City Commission agenda.

The site plan was approved administratively March 21, 2008 for a second phase of the site development for 2 mini-warehouse structures. The applicant has been working with Development Services regarding changes to the proposed structure. A note on the plan stated that site plan for phase II shall expire 18 months after the expiration of the building permit for phase I. A building permit was issued September 18, 2008 for a 16 unit storage facility. The site plan expired on September 2, 2010.

The applicant requested an extension of the site plan approval for phase II prior to that date.

The applicant has requested extension of the approval of the site plan. Section 20-1305 (o) allows an applicant to request an extension of site plan approval. The City Commission is granted the authority per this section to allow an extension up to 24 months. As required in 20-1305 (o), staff has notified all property owners within 200’ of this request.

Requested action:

Extend approval of SP-5-34-07, 808 E. 28th Street for phase II, mini-warehouse storage for a period of 24 months to expire on September 2, 2012.
