Please place the following item on the City Commission agenda for consideration at their November 16, 2010 meeting:

Authorize staff to distribute an RFP for a Citizen Survey.

Background

ETC Institute conducted the last citizen survey in 2007.  The total cost was $26,250, which was paid from the General Fund, The Water and Wastewater Fund, and The Solid Waste Fund.  The 2010 budget included $30,000 in the General Fund for a citizen survey. 

Staff is prepared to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a new Citizen Survey.  The RFP will be for a vendor to help develop and conduct a survey that will measure the satisfaction of our citizens with the quality and effectiveness of the services we provide. 

It is anticipated that the RFP will be distributed on or before November 19, 2010, with a recommendation to be made to the City Commission before the end of the year.
