RE:	ROW Permit for 2^nd Annual Strongman Competition

Laura Richards, Next Level Sports Performance, submitted the attached application for a Temporary Use of Public Right-of-Way Permit to close 7^th Street from Tennessee Street to Kentucky Street on Friday, 09/17/10 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and Saturday, 09/18/10 from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. for a Strongman Competition. The brief closure on Friday is to allow the organizers to do trial runs of some of the events. This is the second annual event; the first event was held on South Park Street north of Massachusetts Street in 2009. The organizers are requesting 18 meter bags and barricades to close the street.

ACTION:       Approve a Temporary Use of Public Right-of-Way Permit to close 7^th Street from Tennessee Street to Kentucky Street on Friday, 09/17/10 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and Saturday, 09/18/10 from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. for a Strongman Competition.
