The following vehicles and equipment meet or exceed the criteria for replacement. We request City Commission approval to sell the surplus vehicles and equipment on Gov Deals as we have done in the past
VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT – City vehicles and equipment are rated by using a scale that includes age, miles/hours, type of service, reliability, maintenance & repair costs, and condition. The police cars and Public Works trucks and equipment all meet or exceed the criteria for replacement.
MICHELIN TIRES – These tires have a speed rating of 50 MPH and do not meet our specifications. They have been branded with City of Lawrence identification and therefore cannot be returned.
THE REMAINDER OF SURPLUS EQUIPMENT
The remainder of the equipment has either been replaced or is no longer used by the City.
