ORDINANCE NO.  8549

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS, 2009 EDITION AND AMENDMENTS THERETO,       RELATING TO ONE-WAY STREETS

            BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

SECTION I:  Ordinance 5781 that established Elm Street as an eastbound street from 2^nd Street to 7^th Street is hereby rescinded.

SECTION II:  From and after the effectiveness of this ordinance and the installation of appropriate traffic control devices, Elm Street is hereby established as a one-way street eastbound from 2^nd Street to 250 feet west of 3^rd Street, and from 3^rd Street to 7^th Street.

SECTION III: The City Engineer is hereby directed to amend the Schedule of One-Way Streets, maintained by the Office of the City Engineer, to reflect the provisions of Section I.
