In November 2008 the city was proceeding with the construction of Stoneridge Drive from 6th Street to Overland Drive. Pear Tree Village LP proposed Creekstone Development on the east side of Stoneridge Drive, north of 6th Street. The development was to have access to Stoneridge Drive via a short right-turn lane onto Kelly Drive. The owner petitioned the city to create a benefit district for a right-turn lane onto Stoneridge Drive for access to Kelly Drive.
The estimated cost of the improvements was $32,000. The right-turn lane was completed by a change order to the Stoneridge Drive project which saved tearing out curb and gutter, sidewalk, and storm sewer. The actual project costs exceeded the estimate for improvements.
The owner has signed the attached waiver and the proposed ordinance amends Resolution 6803 and Ordinance 8351 to allow the city to assess the actual cost of $37,272.05.
Action requested: Approve Ordinance 8556 amending Resolution 6803 and Ordinance 8351.
