ONE (1) ONE TON PICKUP – PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT – #B1047

Parks and Recreation requested bids for a one ton pickup.  This pickup will be used to pull mower trailers in the summer and used for snow removal in the winter.  It is to replace a 14 year old truck with high mileage and maintenance costs. 

Parks and Recreation requested prices for two options for this pickup, a tool box for $599.00 and a snow plow for $4,904.00  

Laird Noller Automotive’s bid is within 1% of Shawnee Mission Ford’s bid, therefore the local preference policy applies.

This purchase was approved in the 2010 budgeting process.

Recommendation Action: 

Apply the local purchasing preference policy and award bid for 1 one ton pickup with options for the Parks and Recreation Department to Laird Noller Automotive for $27,973.00 plus options, $5,503.00 total $33,476.00.  (Parks and Recreation/District #2 fund)
