AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS ALLOWING THE POSSESSION, AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON CERTAIN SPECIFIED PUBLIC PROPERTY

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.  Pursuant to Section 4-105 of the Code of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, the prohibition of the possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages on public property shall not apply to the public right-of-way located immediately west of the Oread Hotel property between the property line and the back of the curb along the east side of Indiana Street, and shall not apply to the public right-of-way located immediately south of the Oread Hotel property from the property line south to a line ten feet beyond the curb on the north side of 12th Street, on 09/04/10, 09/11/10, 09/25/10, 10/14/10, 10/23/10, 11/06/10, and on any other day(s) a home football game may be scheduled in 2010, during the time period between three hours prior to kickoff and one hour after the conclusion of the game, provided the possession and consumption are otherwise pursuant to Code of the City of Lawrence, Kansas and the laws of the State of Kansas.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
