CITY STAFF PRESENT FOR BID OPENING on July 20, 2010:  Alan Landis, Jonathan Douglass, Tony Hoch.

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF LAWRENCE WEATHERIZATION SCOPE OF WORK:

Mechanical Upgrades – Replace three furnaces and four AC units complete.  Supply new equipment pads on exterior.  Install new thermostats for 4 units.

Siding Replacement – Remove existing siding.  Install house wrap insulation and seal all seams.  Install new metal siding, wrap fascia and soffits.

Recommendation Action:

Mechanical Upgrades: Waive estimate and Award bid, to Harris Heating & Cooling Inc. for $16,930.00.  Eight contractors attended pre-bid.

Siding Replacement: Waive estimate and Award bid, to Rock Chalk Exteriors for $31,908.00.  Two contractors attended pre-bid.
