Please include the following item on the City Commission consent agenda for consideration at the July 6, 2010 meeting: Approve Change Order No. 3 – Fairfield /Exchange Drive Improvements

Project Funding.  The original contract amount was $1,286,904.30.  Two change orders totaling $9,301.39 were approved by the City Commission on June 8.  Change order No. 3 in the amount of $4,000.00 is for the addition of trees in the right of way along the Tractor Supply property making a new project total of $1,300,205.69. The project is being financed with a Benefit District.  The Benefit District is paying for 100% of the cost of the improvements and 0% by the city at large (Resolution #6842).

Action Request.  Authorize the City Manager to sign and approve change order #3 in the amount of $4,000 for project PW0915, Fairfield East Addition No. 1, Exchange Place and Fairfield Street, Street, Storm Sewer, Waterline Improvements.
