Project History/Status

On May 5, 2010 during routine maintenance inspection of wastewater pump station # 04 located at 810 Walnut, department staff found the discharge piping for one of the three lift pumps leaking. At that time a more detailed inspection was performed on all of the piping in the wet well revealing that the discharge piping and couplings for all three pumps was badly deteriorated and in need of replacement. This station services the entire North Lawrence area.

On May 25th the City Commission approved a bid date of June 15th. Two bids were opened, one from Meadows construction for $39,000.00 and one from CAS Construction for $25,400.00.

Project Funding: The project will be funded from the 2010 Operations and Maintenance budget 501.7.7410.2531
