RE:                  COMPREHENSIVE HOUSING REHABILITATION

CITY STAFF PRESENT FOR BID OPENING on June 1, 2010:  Alan Landis, Diane Trybom, Tony Hoch & Jessica Roberts.

SCOPE OF WORK:

216 N. Minnesota St.:  Remove and replace concrete driveway and homeowner sidewalk. Replacement siding, soffit, fascia work and paint all exterior wood. Install new roof, gutters, downspouts and splash blocks. Remove and replace all doors throughout the house. Install new water heater. Reroute an existing furnace vent pipe through the attic. Install vinyl flooring, vanity complete and bath/tub shower enclosure complete in the bathroom. Drywall repair throughout the home. Minor Electrical work including GFCI and fan rated boxes. The home was built in 1979, so lead safe work practices do not apply.

Recommendation Action:

44 Winona Ave.: Waive staff estimate and award base bid only, to T & J Holdings for $25,600.00.  Homeowner will provide funds in excess of the program limits of $25,000.00.
