RE:	Appointments for various boards and commissions

I recommend the following individual(s) for appointment(s).  I have included phone numbers, if available.  Please feel free to call any of them to discuss their potential appointments.  I believe they are willing to answer your questions or receive any comments you might have.

Douglas County Emergency Management Board:

Reappoint Truman Waugh (843.6670) to an additional term that will expire 07/01/10.

Lawrence-Douglas County Housing Authority Board:

Appoint Elaine Winn (764.1967) to the position that will become vacant on 06/30/10.  Ms. Winn’s term will expire 06/30/14.

Lawrence Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Commission:

Appoint Laura Burger to a term that will expire 05/31/13.

Public Transit Advisory Committee:

Appoint James Pavisian (785.271.9333) to a vacant term that expires 12/31/12.

Traffic Safety Commission:

Appoint Stuart Boley to a vacant term that will expire 04/30/13.
