Richard Haig called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m.
1. Review and approval of March 22, 2010 meeting minutes
The March 22, 2010 Board Meeting minutes were reviewed. Theresa Gordzica moved and Stan Sneegas seconded the motion to approve the minutes. Motion passed by a vote of 6-0.
2. Airport Manager’s Report
CUP-1-2-10 was presented to the Lawrence Aviation Advisory Board for review. Bob Newton moved and Richard Haig seconded the motion to recommend approval of the CUP 1-2-10 with a finding of no adverse impact to the airport. Motion carried 7-0.
Hawkeye project is waiting for final financial arrangements to be complete soon.
Utilities (Water/Sewer) Update was provided. The water line is in. The sewer will follow.
Master Plan contractor has been approved. All documentation will be submitted to the FAA soon.
Parachute Complaint – The board members discussed the 23 March 2010 FAA letter and the City’s response. Numerous factual errors were noted in the FAA letter. Tom Rainbolt moved and Bob Newton seconded the motion for Chuck Soules and Richard Haig to confer with the City Attorney to provide an appropriate response to the FAA. Motion carried 7-0.
3. T-Hanger Discussion (Attachment)
The Board supports City Staff efforts to proceed with planning for 20 additional T-Hangers.
4. Airport Signage
Stan moved and Gary Fish seconded the motion for the recommendation that the City Commission approve $25,000 for airport signage in the 2010 budget. Motion carried 5-0.
5. Open House – Tentatively planned for October 9
6. PIECE Flights (4/28/10; 8:30 a.m.; 31 children)

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:49 p.m.
